Tsunami Poem by Dmitrij

Monster of the hurricane
I was awoken by monster!
Hurricane, hurricane!
It is like a monster.
Run, run, away from the monster!
People were screaming,
Help, help please!

The wavy, wavy, horror,
Waved as it rushed away!
All I can hear is people screaming,
Help, help please!
Millions died but I survived.
Lives were wasted.

How will a boy survive?
This twisting turning hurricane
What will I eat?
What do I do?
People are left without names.
The world feels devastated.
What do I do what will I do?
My family have disappeared
What do I do?
How, how will I survive?
What do I do where would I go?

Our Fantastic trip to Think Tank...

We had a fantastic time today at Think Tank Museum in Birmingham!

First we explored the future area of the museum. We found robots, space suits and explored an international space station.

We then  explored the all about us section, the science garden and the wildlife section.

All staff were extremely proud of the children's behaviour. You were a complete asset to our school year 5 and 6. Well done!!

School Council's Visit to the Guildhall

Yesterday (02.03.15) School council visited the Lincoln Guildhall. They had previously received a special invitation to look around the Mayors office, The Guildhall and ask him any questions that they may have.

The children went with Mr Chapman and Miss Wainwright to visit and they behaved beautifully. all adults were so proud of them and they were a massive asset to the school.

Well done School Council! You were and are amazing!

Take a look at the photos below to see what we got up to...

Titanic, the ship of dreams!

This week we will be watching and reviewing the fantastic film that is Titanic

Today we have watched the film and made key notes about key parts of the film and given our opinion on what we think of the film so far. We have also being practicing our skills during English.

As a class we were looking at different ways to address the reader in our writing. We used rhetorical questions, bossy and emotive language and practiced our targets too. This will help us when we write our film review for Titanic later on this week.

Keep checking our blog to see regular updates of our journey of Titanic!
